Energy Audits

When you choose a Hunton Services audit, one of our energy auditors will visit your site to interview your facility manager, inspect your lighting, air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment, controls, refrigeration, air compressors, water consuming equipment, and everything else using energy. Our auditor may also take measurements of temperatures, pressures, light levels, power draw, and/or other data. In addition, the auditor will ask for permission to get copies of your utility bills and information.

We’ll then prepare an energy audit report containing:
•    A 3D Mapping of your Facility’s Energy Usage (Smart Meter required)
•    A description of the building’s energy consuming equipment
•    A summary of utility bill data
•    An analysis of the bills to determine whether changing utility rates can provide savings
•    Calculation of your building’s energy use intensity (EUI)
•    Benchmarking data with other similar buildings
•    An estimate of the energy and costs savings if the building met an EUI target

We’ll also provide a description of feasible energy efficiency measures (EEMs) you may wish to consider implementing.  Each of these measures are developed such that the report includes:
•    A description of existing conditions
•    A description of the proposed EEM
•    Expected Annual savings associated with the EEM
•    Expected cost to implement the EEM
•    Simple payback or Return on Investment calculations

We investigate and quantify energy efficiency measures for:
•    Lighting systems
•    HVAC Systems and Controls
•    Compressed Air Systems
•    Electric Motors and Drives
•    Process Systems
•    Steam Systems
•    Heat Recovery
•    Renewable Energy Applications
•    Building Envelope Upgrades
•    Switching Utility Providers or Utility Rates
